What type of oils do you cook with?

I usually use coconut oil and avocado oil for high-heat cooking and baking. I use olive oil for low (or no) heat cooking (i.e. salad dressings and sauces).

What do you use as a sweetener in recipes?

I will often use maple syrup, honey, and coconut palm sugar in baking. Sometimes I will use organic stevia to boost sweetness in a recipe. Some people don’t like the aftertaste of stevia, so I advise to take it out entirely or replace it with 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Lastly, I love to use mashed bananas and dates as fruit-based sweeteners.
